Del Oro seniors go 6-0 on Senior Night; Del Oro beats Granite Bay 70-6 for SFL title

Loomis, CA- On Senior Night Del Oro’s seniors Issac Herrera, Eli Honsa, Chino Igarashi, Raiden Catsis, Rocco Clark, and Kainoa Acia went a perfect 6-0 to cap off a 70-6 win against Granite Bay. Del Oro won 13 of 14 matches, including 11 wins by fall and one by major decision. At 134 lbs Del Oro senior Issac Herrera (#18 in CA at 128 lbs) won a 5-1 decision over Ben Quilpa (#36 in CA at 134 lbs). Del Oro finished their SFL dual competition 5-0 to secure the league championship. Next up is the Sac-Joaquin Section Team Championships at Lincoln of Stockton on Saturday. Del Oro will have to run a gauntlet of high level teams like Elk Grove and Turlock before squaring off against reigning champion Vacaville or 2020 champion Oakdale.
