El Dorado Hills- Del Oro wrestling competed at the Sierra Foothill League Tournament this weekend. The SFL is one of the more consistent leagues in the Sac-Joaquin Section; Del Oro has been a member since the 1970’s and Granite Bay and Rocklin have been members since those schools opened. The SFL Tournament marks the beginning of the post season for the Varsity Team. All competitors in the SFL Tournament qualify for the Division 1 Tournament next weekend at Tokay HS but their placement here determines their draw there. At the Varsity level the team put 9 wrestlers in the finals and finished with 5 champions. At 222 lbs Patrick Bailey was the #6 seed in the tournament but was able to pin the #3, #4, and #5 seeds en route to a 3rd place finish.
