In the first official competition of the year Del Oro edged Folsom 270 to 264.5 to take first overall at the Vista Del Lago Tournament. Nate Mitchell (113 lbs), Christian Perez (120 lbs) and Jagger French (144 lbs) brutalized the field with a combined 12 pins and 1 tech fall en route to first place individual finishes. Logan Banks (150 lbs) and Wyatt Alexander (157 lbs) took second. Two Del Oro wrestlers were able to avenge previous losses at the tournament to finish on an odd number. In the first round at 132 lbs Kam Rush lost 16-14 to Wyatt Williams (Chico HS) but won four matches in a row in the consolation bracket to set up a rematch with Williams for 7th place. This time Rush came out ahead 8-3 to finish on a win. In the quarterfinals at 144 lbs Jamison French lost 12-8 to Kolin De La Fuente of River Valley but turned it around with a 5-4 win over De La Fuente for 3rd place.
