Chico, CA- Del Oro’s Varsity squad placed eight wrestlers and took 6th overall at the 10th Annual Joe Rios Tournament (Chico, CA). In the 157 lb finals Wyatt Alexander came back from a 6-0 deficit to pin Tyson Tran (Granada HS) in the second round and win his first varsity tournament. Evan Hilmen (175 lbs) went 6-2 over two days en route to a 5th place finish. Del Oro entered four wrestlers at the 106 lb weight class and was able to place three of them in the top 8.
