Temecula Valley, CA- Del Oro’s varsity team made the long trip south to Temecula Valley to compete in the Battle for the Belt Tournament. As usual it was a high competitive and grinding tournament but the team was able to put six wrestlers on the medal stand and tie for 4th place as a team. Jagger French placed 3rd, losing to the #1 ranked wrestler in the state in the semifinals but beating the #4 and #8 ranked wrestlers on the way back through consolation. Also placing were Nate Michell (7th), Siraj Sidhu (5th), Christian Perez (4th), Logan Banks (5th),and Breyden Rush (7th). Follow this link to watch some of the matches

Next up for the team is a home league meet against Folsom HS on Wednesday. This will also be Senior Night and we will recognize Jack Brunton, Patrick Bailey, Wyatt Alexander, Logan Banks, and Jagger French for all their hard work over the years.
