Granite Bay, CA- Del Oro defeated Granite Bay 50-18 to win the 2023-2024 Sierra Foothill League title. Del Oro has won the title outright in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2023, and 2024. Del Oro shared the title in 2019 and 2022 while Granite Bay won the title in 2011 and Folsom in 2015.
Del Oro defeated Granite Bay in ten contested matches, winning nine of those by bonus points. This match concludes Del Oro's regular season and sets up the team for a berth in the hellish D1 Bracket of Sac Joaquin Section Team Tournament this Saturday. The D1 bracket has become the de facto open bracket of the Section, housing regional powerhouses such as Vacaville, Oakdale, Elk Grove, and Folsom. After this weekend the post season begins with the SFL Tournament at Folsom on Friday.
